Who is Imara?

Born in French Guiana on May 14th, 1988, as Elodie Col, Imara is a strong personality, who know how to be an amazing host, and a smart journalist, who believe that creativity and talent can change the world.

Editor in chief of the website www.imara-medias.com that enlights the hidden sides of the show business world, she write daily news and Interviews of famous and talented international people.

She started to get into the medias industry as she was 19. She has been casted and selected to host a radio show in Guyane Première, national radio in French Guiana. Then, once she passed her english undergraduate degree,  she moved to Paris in 2008 to study radio journalism in the famous Studio Ecole de France, (STUDEC) as she wanted to become the first and youngest female local radio journalist in her born country.

Two years after she was graduated and decided to move to London where she studied written journalism. While she was living there, she was learning African cultures and Egyptian cosmogony with her manager Allan Senworsert. She decided then to change her name to Imara Kataainama, which means “the one who never bend” in Swahili language.

In 2011, Imara was back to Paris, as she has been offered a job as radio host, in a web radio Station called Starter.fm on the prestigious Champs Elysées. She quickly became one of the main radio host with her talk show Cast Me If You Can, dealing with castings tips, and showcasing famous French artists. As she was aslo very good with blogging and social network she became the official blogger and community management of the web radio, and the official bilingual journalist who was in charge of the international artists interviews.

This is how she started to be recognized.

One year later, Imara decided to quit the radio and launch her own website,www.imara-medias.com. She became more and more famous, her website more and more viewed…. She interviewed, RedMan, Laquan Smith (Stylist for Rihanna, Casie, Tyra Banks), Keith Sweat, from the USA but also famous artist from Europe such as Alex Hepburn and Tara Mc Donald from UK or Célien Schneider from Switzerland... Thanks to her manager she hosted fashion shows in Paris, Tv shows and live Dj shows in France…

Now Imara is exploring Miami… and try to learn more about the show business industry there. She is also currently writing for American magazine Empire Radio Magazine, about the french show business industry…

Qui est Imara?

Né en Guyane française le 14 mai 1988, sous le nom d’Elodie Col, Imara est une forte personnalité, qui sait comment être une présentatrice incroyable, et une journaliste perspicace, qui croit que la créativité et le talent peuvent changer le monde.

Rédactrice en chef du site www.imara-medias.com qui met en lumière le monde du show-business, elle écrit des news quotidiennes et des interviews de personnalités talentueuses et internationales.

Imara fait ses débuts dans l’industrie médiatique à l’âge de 19 ans, après une audition elle est choisie pour animer une émission de radio sur Guyane Première, la radio nationale en Guyane française. Puis, une fois, elle passa son baccalauréat anglais degré, elle s’installe à Paris en 2008 pour étudier le journalisme de radio au sein du célèbre studio Ecole de France (STUDEC), comme elle voulait devenir la plus jeune femme journaliste de la radio locale des femmes dans son pays d’origine.

Deux ans après avoir été diplômé elle décidé de s’installer à Londres où elle a étudié le journalisme écrit. Elle apprend les cultures africaines et la cosmogonie égyptienne avec son manager Allan Senworsert, et décide alors de changer son nom à Imara Kataainama, qui signifie «celle qui refuse de se courber” en langue Swahili.

En 2011, Imara est de retour à Paris, et accepte un poste d’animatrice radio, au sein station d’une web radio en ligne appelé Starter.fm sur la prestigieuse avenue des Champs Elysées. Elle est rapidement devenue l’un des animateur de radio principale avec son talk-show Cast Me If You Can, face à la fonderie des conseils, et la présentation de célèbres artistes français. Comme elle est également douée avec les blogs et réseaux sociaux, elle devient la blogueuse officielle, ainsi que community manager de la web radio, et, par la suite la journaliste bilingue officielle qui en charge des interviews d’artistes internationaux.

C’est ainsi qu’elle commence à être reconnu.

Un an plus tard, Imara a décidé de quitter la radio et de lancer son propre site Web, www.imara-medias.com .Elle est devenue de plus en plus célèbre, son site de plus en plus consulté …. Elle a interviewé, Redman, Laquan Smith (Styliste pour Rihanna, Casie, Tyra Banks), Keith Sweat, des Etats-Unis mais également célèbre artiste de l’Europe tels que Alex Hepburn et Tara Mc Donald du Royaume-Uni ou Célien Schneider de la Suisse … Grâce à son manager, elle présente des défilés de mode à Paris, animelles show Tv et show Dj en France …

Maintenant Imara explore Miami et tente d’en d’apprendre davantage sur l’industrie du show business à l’Américaine. Elle est également en train d’écrire pour le magazine américain  Empire Radio Magazine, à propos du milieu du Show Business en France…
