About the brand. Why do I support  “NYAKÈ”?

For weeks, many of my followers have been asking me where the name of this brand was coming from and what was the meaning of it…

Here is the answer: “NYAKÈ” (pronounced [ne-a-k]) was the kind of special person you meet only once in your entire life!!! She died 2 years ago, in November, of an orphan-age rare disease caused by the antibodies degeneration. Everyone who had the chance to meet her agreed to say she was a pure soul, a real gem.

Though she lived in Paris for decades, this late Cameroonian woman was a true lover of everything related to the enhancement of the African- Caribbean culture, through Fashion, Design and Art.

Thus, the “NYAKÈ” concept aims to celebrate the beauty and richness of this multi-shaped culture in any forms.

“NYAKÈ” also strive to financially contribute to the development of research on less-frequent illnesses that are still incurable around the world, especially in Africa.

In loving memory of NYAKÈ. Rest In Peace.
