Le 27 novembre 2013 est désormais la date du décès de Lou Reed. À 71 ans, le rocker nous aurait quitté suite à une greffe de foie qu’il aurait subie récemment, selon son agent. Son influence sur la scène rock internationale aura été énorme. L’artiste était à l’origine des courants New Wave, Cold Wave et Glam Rock. 

November 27th, 2013 has become now Lou Reed date of death. At 71, the rocker may have left after a liver transplant he had done recently, according to his manager. His influence on the international rock scene has been huge. He was one of those who came with New Wave , Cold Wave and Glam Rock.

L’album “Berlin”, sorti en 1973, constitue pour beaucoup l’apogée artistique de Lou Reed, mais son grand succès musical reste la chanson «Walk on the Wild Side», de l’album “Transformer” (1972).

Loin d’être “has been” Lou Reed s’etait plié à l’exercice de la critique sur The Talkhouse, une plateforme web donnant la parole aux musiciens. Ayant choisit de parler de l’album “Yeezus” de Kanye West, il y évoquait en détail des morceaux tels que “New Slaves” (qui lui a donné “la chair de poule“), “Hold my liquor” (“très poignant“).

L’artiste avait créé le groupe mythique Velvet Underground avant une prolifique carrière solo et d’inspirer plusieurs génération.

Far from being a “has been” Lou Reed has tried the exercise of criticism on The Talkhouse , a web platform giving voice to musicians. He has chosen to express himself about Kanye West last album “Yeezus“. He carefully wrote his vision about songs such as ” New Slaves ” (which gave him “goose bumps“),  or ” Hold my liquor ”  ( “incredibly poignant hook” ) .

The artist created the legendary group Velvet Underground before a successful solo career and inspire several generations .
